An individual who joins our team will be trusted resource for many within the company, responsible for analyzing data from a variety of areas within our PBM business and identifying opportunities that will create a meaningful benefit in our client pricing offerings.
As a Pricing Strategy & Financial AnalyticsSr. Manager (IC), you will be responsible for analyzing drug costs and client performance in many areas (rebates, network, and specialty), quantifying financial impacts of changes to existing strategies, and participating in the development of new strategies. These analyses will include evaluating both potential impacts to external consultant evaluations as well as considering client costs. You'll be collaborating with and influencing many departments within the company to develop pricing insights. You will independently drive various medium to large size projects that support client strategy initiatives and present your findings and recommendations to leaders across multiple departments. Your objective is to improve CVS Caremark client financial offerings and elevate our position in competitive bids.

• The candidate will...
  • Quantify potential impact of various PBM pricing strategies in both Rebate and Discounts across all channels.
  • Coordinate the efforts across departments that can include Specialty, Retail, Clinical Ops, IT, Product Development, Finance, Trade, Sales, and other corporate departments
  • Access data, construct and manipulating large datasets to support planned analyses, using SAS, Excel, SQL, and similar tools
  • Manage complex projects related to a wide variety of financial, utilization, and operational business needs.
  • Gather business insights and analysis inputs from various internal stakeholders
  • Present findings, develop and propose recommendations to leaders across multiple departments

Required Qualifications

• 8 + years' experience in analytics, pharmaceutical pricing, or PBM industry

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in PBM pricing or PBM Financial Analytics
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in SAS or other database software
• Experience in Microsoft Excel-based modeling
• Experience using business analytics to problem solve data-driven questions
• Experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large data sets and then using it to draw conclusions
• Experience conducting data analyses using basic and advanced skills in statistics and database management
• Strong presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to various business groups
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and follow up skills.
• Ability to interact with others in a collegial and professional manner and help foster teamwork and knowledge sharing to complete key tasks
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and manage tight deadlines and competing priorities

Education

• Bachelor's degree required
• Degree related to finance, mathematics, operations, statistics, actuarial science, epidemiology, economics, or other data related fields preferred.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$79,200.00 - $170,800.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
