Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to identify, develop, and deploy residential real estate pricing strategies, in accordance to ALCO, to maximize growth, profitability, and income from mortgages sales to investors in the secondary market.
- Supports Residential Mortgage Lending department's leadership by managing the Pricing & Secondary Sales section of the department's by conducting the following:
- Administers Pricing and rates through current program, software, and/or distribution under current strategies, to maximize profitability by managing margins
- Researches and develops processes to improve Bank performance by remaining competitive with existing and new residential loan products
- Stays informed of current trends in pricing, rates, and delivery in mortgage lending and market factors impacting mortgage lending and Secondary market sales
- Executes secondary market sales to investors using available tools, while employing risk-management strategies
- Collaborates with analysts in providing training and support to department staff associated with available techniques and tools
- Maximizing a substantial profit by generating income with intensive analysis, planning, managing margins with pipeline management techniques
- Provides reports to leadership, accounting, and other groups/departments as necessary
- Develops, maintains, and administers policies and procedures established and guided by the bank, investor, and/or regulatory agencies, to remain in compliance
- Collaborates with other departments and branches to improve or develop effective practices, address needs, and expand on opportunities
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion
Qualifications
Education/Training:
- B.A. or B.S. required with finance/accounting/statistics field of study strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong math, computer, communicative, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create, implement, adjust, and maintain workflows based on guidelines, economic conditions, and interest rate environment
- Highly organized; results driven with competency to meet demands of proficiency, effectiveness, and efficiency
- Demonstrate ability to analyze data
- Must be collaborative, have the ability to adapt and reprioritize, and have an independently objective mindset
- Must be able to consistently demonstrate the Company's core values: a strong work ethic, integrity, respect for others, responsibility, transparency and humility
Experience:
- Minimum of six years similar or related experience required
