We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Maintenance Technician to build, set up, maintain, and repair equipment throughout the company and help expand our Global Manufacturing Company while helping you establish your career goals.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Mechanical/Maintenance Technician are to plan, evaluate, and administer necessary installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of new or existing machinery and equipment on a daily basis for a safe, clean, productive and economical operation that fully supports press production, assembly, and general shop maintenance as well as enforcing company policies and practices.
Analyze specifications, set up and operate various equipment and machines to fit and assemble and repair items as needed resulting in a reduction of mechanical downtime.
Dismantles equipment, make repairs to damaged equipment, and replace worn or broken items or components. Verifies that the repaired equipment is operating correctly.
Set up, maintain, repair, and operate equipment including Conveyors, motors, and control devices. Machine parts for proper fit using power and/or hand tools as needed.
Record and maintain maintenance issues.
Order components as needed and for safety stock.
Able to perform all essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation
Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, models, or specifications of equipment to plan sequence of operations for fabricating, assembly, and build quality equipment that will function in a safe and productive manner.
Work as a team with the Engineering and Production departments on all equipment issues. Capable of interacting with fellow team members in a professional manner.
Must be proficient in reading blueprints, using measurement tools to conform to specifications to verify dimensions, alignments and clearances for equipment to function properly.
Must be proficient with electrical schematics, plumbing, and motors as well as experience working with a variety of equipment devices.
Follow company procedures for safety training.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Build, support and enhance our learning and development strategy in line with business needs and organizational growth and change. Implement and apply corporate tools effectively to support all departments.
Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required.
Attends and participates in employee meeting as scheduled.
Requirements
Ensure all safety, failsafe, and ergonomic features are functional.
Mechanical/Electrical set up and adjustments for equipment before production.
Performs assigned preventive and scheduled maintenance on all equipment and machinery.
Corrects equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdowns and repairs/replaces parts, motors, and control devices.
Performs the installation, start up and tryout of all new manufacturing and plant equipment and systems.
Fabricate and repair equipment by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
Dismantle, assemble, and install various types of machinery.
Update and keep accurate records of machine programs, maintenance records, safety, and machine performance.
Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Continuously improve equipment to make it as safe and efficient as possible.
PLC experience a plus.
Knowledgeable of Smart Pac’s.
Use of overhead crane
Operate lift truck
Excellent mechanical skills.
Must have own tools related to position.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and accomplish in a timely manner when appropriate.
Ability to implement good ideas proactively and problem-solve effectively

Full time position on site.
Education and Experience
Mechanical, Electrical, and plumbing background preferred, or minimum of 3 years’ experience working with production machinery and building and facility maintenance.
Experience working as a mechanic on equipment at a metal stamping plant.
Experience in installation, setup, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, etc.
Knowledge of electrical schematics.
Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds. Frequent bending and climbing are required.
Incremental increases are available after periodic reviews.
