Position Summary:
As a level I Press Operator for RPI, you will be involved in the daily print processes in the photo product manufacturing production lines. A level I Press Operator is responsible for the operation of digital presses and ensuring quality color output, by following proper production procedures.
Job Requirements:
Performs routine printing procedures on the digital presses.
Does quality inspections for high-quality output.
Adheres to established procedures for press use and floor workflow.
Uses visual discrimination to ensure high-quality output and uses analysis and judgment.
Handles consumables appropriately to maintain safe and efficient use of materials.
Operator demonstrates proper handling of paper materials.
Operates using the safety and disposal procedures.
Ensure customer SLAs are met for on-time delivery.
Actively participate and follow safe working practices in a factory environment.
Directly support the shift supervisor and area leads in the daily production operations.
Work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by shift supervisor.
Maintain accurate timecards through proper use of the punch clock.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Ability to perform minor and complex consumable replacement when necessary.
Knows how to utilize & understand the press software to print files.
Good aptitude for mechanical and electrical functions.
Experience/Training:
Having a background in printing technology (traditional press operation, prepress, graphic design) and basic computer skills are preferred
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.98 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
