Position Details:

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday: 6:00am - 3:30pm
• Pay Range: Up to $30.00/Hour (Depends upon experience and shift schedule)
• Retention Bonus $2,000 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate coil-fed punch presses of various sizes and tonnages in which a progressive or compound die is used to produce the metal part.
• Work from blueprints or customer specifications as required.
• Adjust die, knock-out, ejecting, safety devices, roll, dial or magazine feeds.
• Assist with set up or in removing dies after production run is complete.
• May check work visually or by using template, sample or fixed gauges.
• Basic ability to load coil / material onto decoiler and or press utilizing overhead crane.
• Handle minor rework as needed.
• Be alert to any malfunction of press or problem with die so production can be stopped prior to incurring substantial damage to the press or die.
• Cross train and operate various coil-fed punch presses as directed to ensure production needs can be met.
• Place finished parts in correct container.
• Assist with lifting, stacking, and packing parts as needed.
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed in the Department.
• Comply with all safety and environmental regulations and procedures.
• Report labor hours by entering information correctly in terminal.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervision.

Job Qualifications:

• Must have high school or equivalent.
• Must be able to understand simple blueprints and/or specifications.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Prior production machine operation experience preferred
• Some QC and inspection experience using basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time.
• Must have the ability to read/write and understand both verbal and written work instructions, and customer specifications.
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools or controls.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and move from place to place.
