We are searching for a PR & Communications Manager, PreSonus based out of Baton Rouge, LA, Scottsdale, AZ or Remote - The PR & Communications Manager will play a key role in the development and execution of global communications plans for the PreSonus brand, working closely with global partners to deliver against the overall global PR & Communications strategy. This person will leverage an understanding of the global media eco-system including influencers and traditional media within the Pro Audio, Music Industry, and Lifestyle space, to create compelling storytelling while guiding the global regions and ensuring a consistent global brand image.

Essential Functions:

  • Will mix passion for music with their passion for strategic storytelling and key editor relationships to elevate the PreSonus brand and products in the media landscape. 
  • Define, develop and oversee an ongoing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics for PreSonus product launches and key marketing initiatives to engage consumers and fans. Working cross-functionally to plan and execute PR campaigns.
  • Coordinate all Public Relations activities - includes writing and editing of GTMs, press releases, pitching, media communications, talking points, presentations.
  • Partner with global and regional marketing teammates and product teams to not only elevate the current media experience but introduce new media to the PreSonus brand while providing strategic insights, guidance and align the right media with key product launches, product lines and marketing initiatives.
  • Leverage the voice of artists through strategic storytelling on behalf of the brands and the artist. Liaise with artist relations on talent pitching, comms asks and execution management.
  • Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with high-judgment and professionalism.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with gear, business and consumer lifestyle journalists seeking high-level placements in print, digital/editorial, broadcast and online media. 
  • Oversee management of sample account inventory process and related orders/returns for MI reviews, events, etc.
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate PR/Comms results on a quarterly basis. 
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships on an on-going basis.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting the brands and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or a related discipline 
  • 3-5 years' experience in Public Relations required, with a track record designing and executing successful Public Relations campaigns
  • Excellent relationships in the music, pro audio, and/or tech media 
  • Has experience in merging music and culture, can digest and explain technical information clearly, and is excited about the opportunity to take on challenges to think big and demonstrate strategic and critical thinking.  
  • Must possess excellent organizational, verbal, presentation and written communication skills, as well as pay attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and to build and maintain excellent and productive working relationships with colleagues based all over the world and across time zones.
  • Has experience putting together in-person media events for building strong relationships with key members of the media 
  • Ability to multitask, adjust priorities, meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
