Job Summary:
The Vanderbilt Health Executive Search Team is conducting a national search for President ofVanderbilt Imaging Services/New Light Imaging. The President, Vanderbilt Imaging Services/New Light Imaging (VIS/NLI) will assist in the development of outreach goals and objectives for VUMC based on interpretation of institutional strategy and goals. The President, Vanderbilt Imaging Services will foster the development of positive relations and provide strategic guidance for imaging center business. This position will carry the title of President ofVanderbilt Imaging Services/New Light Imaging and will work directly with VUMC and within the Vanderbilt Health Services, reporting to the Sr. Vice President of VHS.
Position Shift: 1st shift; Days
Role Accountabilities:
  • Continually evaluates competitive Imaging business development opportunities for the organization.
  • Identify outreach and development opportunities and conduct analysis (through proforma with management) of those opportunities in terms of positive or negative financial and business impact.
  • Responsible for following trends and analyzing data making appropriate recommendations to the Board of Directs of VIS and NLI.
  • Develops business plans or summaries that are consistent with the mission/values of VIS, and NLI.
  • Develops business plans or summaries that are Develop proposals as to potential development opportunities which may lead to Acquisitions, Mergers, Joint Ventures, or start-ups
  • Demonstrates leadership behaviors that are consistent with the clinical enterprise through leading, coordinating projects, innovation, initiating improvement and development of new programs in Imaging services.
  • Participate in and/or lead teams regarding potential mergers, acquisitions and affiliations.
  • Develops excellent working relationships with regional hospital CEO's, and other relevant entities as necessary.
  • Lead discussions and analysis of potential relationships. Develop and secure agreement on project plans and manage process to these plans.
  • Lead and conduct financial analysis resulting in Pro-forma income statements and balance sheets, Investment requirements, ROI to Vanderbilt and partnerships.
  • Lead or oversee valuation processes of potential partners or new business opportunities.
  • Lead efforts to develop draft term sheets regarding structure, legal documentation, and implementation plans.
  • Coordinates operations, including but not limited to:
  • Coordinating activities including growth objectives, space allocation, procurement of capital equipment and developing goals, objectives, capital requirements and desired outcomes.
  • Serving as a liaison with the Board of Directors in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating operations.
  • Reviewing comprehensiveness of programs on an ongoing basis and developing strategies for program adaptation to market changes.
  • Work closely with operations and marketing team to streamline operations of clinics and NLI.
  • Work closely with Billing and Collections to optimize collections, operations, and systems.
  • Coordinates and oversees the resources of multiple imaging departments/functions.
  • Coordinating efforts to prioritize needs of imaging services across departments, working with VUMC and coordinating activities.
  • Demonstrating the ability to work with administrative leadership, chairs, physicians, and other clinical personnel to develop, implement and oversee programs.
  • Participating in monitoring and evaluating a program's inception and performance and routinely monitors performance per volumes, referrals, and trends.
  • Establishing and maintaining a working relationship with physician staff with respect to their compliance and performance related to data tracking, billing, coding, and regulatory agency standards for imaging.
  • Participates in the strategic planning processes for the organization and/or specific departments as requested.
  • Responsible for developing and executing imaging programs ongoing 5 years

Qualifications - External:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years' experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree Preferred and 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience building/guiding imaging programs.
  • Experience with expanding and setting up new Imaging locations.
  • Experience in building a strong finance infrastructure for Imaging programs.
  • Experience leading Imaging teams with a focus on patient productivity, safety, quality, and team building.
