Job Description

P urpose:
The Presence Coordinator will work alongside attorneys and claim administrators to obtain proof of presence documentation for our clients that meets 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) requirements. 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage daily tasks, prioritizing those that are time-sensitive
  • Interview witnesses over the phone or in person and draft VCF-compliant Witness Presence Statements
  • Conduct research to obtain contact information for individuals who may be witnesses to a client's 9/11 exposure
  • Collaborate with attorneys and claim administrators to find creative solutions for complex claims with minimal proof of presence
  • Request documentary proof to establish a victim’s exposure to 9/11 toxins
  • Review proof of presence documentation to determine if it is sufficient and meets 9/11 VCF standards
  • Log all communications with clients, witnesses, and other parties on Salesforce
  • Visit witnesses or clients in person as needed
  • Other responsibilities as needed to support the department
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of five years of experience in law enforcement or a related field OR Bachelor’s degree
  • Detail oriented individual capable of interviewing witnesses and preparing witness statements and investigative reports effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to identify, collect, and verify evidence from various sources to establish victim exposure to 9/11 toxins
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with attorneys, co-workers, clients, and representatives of other agencies
  • Ability to travel to interview witnesses as may be necessary
Salary Range
$50,000 - $70,000
