Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Preschool Movement Educator to join our team.
Our Movement Educator:
- Provides a holistic approach to physical movement through imagination, mobility games, obstacle courses, dance, etc. in order to build strength and flexibility, proprioception, and enhance kinesthetic learning.
- Guides toddlers and preschoolers as they develop a range of movements to enhance physical control, body awareness, balance, symmetry, and aesthetic appreciation.
- Provides classes which allow children to learn vocabulary including body parts, pace, musical terms, and other descriptive aspects for movement.
- Encourages cultural expression through dance, music, and the stories of Jewish holidays in collaboration with classroom teachers.
- Knows how to differentiate learning for age-appropriate cognitive and physical abilities (as well as interests) of toddlers, 2s, 3s, and 4s with a mindset of growth over time.
Responsibilities:
- Provide weekly Movement classes to multiple groups, on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9-2.
- Create detailed reports on class progress 5 times per school year.
- Collaborate/communicate with classroom teachers on thematic material and student progress.
- Inventory and upkeep of materials needed for classwork.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, arts, or related field.
- Extensive experience working with preschoolers.
- Extensive experience teaching movement (dance will be considered).

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
