Preschool Housekeeper

This position is designed to support both the Lead Teachers and the Administrative staff throughout the day to ensure the center operates smoothly and that all classroom needs are being met. Daily tasks that will be expected:

• The collection of laundry throughout the day, along with washing, folding and distributing to classes
• The collection of trash several times throughout the day and take to the dumpster
• The collection of dishes after each meal service followed by washing and returning to class bins
• Vacuuming the hallways, communal areas and classrooms at specific times
• Washing door knobs, chair rails and doors (high touch areas)
• Cleaning both student and staff bathrooms
• Cleaning pre-k building kitchen and bathrooms
• Re-stocking supplies to the classes such as towels, trash bags, plastic ware
• Empty and filling water basins in portable sinks
• Assist in the event there is a large spill or accident that requires assistance to clean up
• Assure fans and window sills are dust free
• Prepare center for large school events to assure all areas are clean and presentable

Qualifications and Education Requirements

FBI/FDLE Fingerprint screening

Good Moral Character Statement/Child Abuse and Neglect Acknowledgement

Fire Extinguisher training

Physical Skill Requirements

Able to walk 3-5 miles a day

Able to lift 20 lbs.

Able to work with cleaning materials

Ability to work on a team with the understanding that the purpose of the position is to SUPPORT others

Willing to take initiative

Strong understanding of the need for a clean environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
