We are looking for an experienced childcare assistant to care for children and help them with their daily needs. You will be responsible for assisting the teachers in providing a safe environment and caring for children that are in our daycare center. In this role, you should have excellent communication skills and be able to adapt to new situations. A degree in early childhood education is a plus but not required. We want our childcare assistant to be responsible, punctual, and reliable, with a desire to work with children. Ultimately, you should help our daycare center maintain a safe and healthy environment for every child that attends.
Daycare Assistant also receives free Childcare for 1st child and discounted child care for each additional child.
Responsibilities:
- Plan activities for children in care.
- Organize activities for different age groups.
- Supervise and monitor children during activities to ensure safety.
- Prepare meals and snacks for children.
- Carry out medical procedures such as administering medication and changing bandages.
- Ensure children are safe while they play outside the facility by following outdoor play regulations.
- Organize outdoor play activities such as gardening, drawing, painting, Bug Identification, Walks, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility by sweeping, mopping floors, sanitizing and disinfecting toys, cleaning furniture, cleaning restrooms and changing areas, etc.
- Changing diapers and soiled clothes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
