Job Description
Shoreline Christian School is seeking a full or part-time Preschool assistants for the 2024-25 school year. We are searching for people who like to work in smaller learning communities and who excel in a team-teaching environment. We offer medical, dental, vision, 403B, life insurance, and PTO. Hourly $20-$24 DOE.
Duties:
These positions will assist the Lead teacher by cultivating curriculum, art projects, preparing snacks, leading breakout groups, and collaborating on group lessons. In addition, they will oversee students in aftercare, helping to provide high quality care. Our goal is to foster a team environment where we develop each other’s skills and talents. We are looking for team players that are self starters, love Jesus and children, and want to combine these two important aspects of education. Our greatest accomplishment and hope as teachers is that every child will know that they are special and created in God’s image.
Qualifications:
We’re open to a variety of professional backgrounds.
Education: At least a high school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Must have a minimum of two years prior experience with children, preferably in an early learning setting.
Faith: As a community with a shared statement of faith, an active, intentional, and embodied Christian faith is essential. Demonstrated Christian commitment and relationship with Jesus Christ and being active in a local church.
Licensure/Certification:
Must have the following, or be willing to complete upon hire:
- Washington State required 30 hours basic STARS training or show proof of waiver
- Adult/infant/child CPR and first aid
- HIV and bloodborne pathogen training
- Proof of negative TB skin test
- Portable background check though Merit
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Other licensing related requirements may apply
