Job Description
We are accepting applications for a Prepress Operator. The Operator duties include set up and layout of digital files for digital/offset proofing, digital print and offset plate output for final production. This role will also support our Composing team.
Responsibilities
- Preflight client files and create layouts of print ready art files to send to production.
- Troubleshoot and correct customer files as needed.
- Check documents for accuracy.
- Produce plates as required for print production.
Qualifications
- Experienced in using Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator.
- XMPIE or similar software experience is a plus.
- Agfa Apogee Workflow a plus.
- Proficient in file preparation for printing processes.
- Knowledge of color separations, screens, dot grain and resolution.
- Ability to accurately check files for fonts, links, and document size.
- High level of accuracy, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Able to maintain production and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work overtime when necessary.
