Now seeking a creative, hard-working full-time production cook to join our culinary team. The Water’s Edge Restaurant offers an elegant dining experience with a stunning backdrop overlooking our tree-lined pond, complete with fountains and veranda. Our menu features a variety of modern, American cuisine, with local favorites being our savory, bourbon braised short ribs and highly anticipated weekend specialties. Sunday Brunch is another weekly highlight with an abundance of fresh fruit, pastries, tasty soups and salads, hearty vegetable and meat offerings, and decadent desserts. Especially popular is the omelet bar allowing guests and staff to work together using a variety of fresh and mouthwatering ingredients to create a perfect one-of-a-kind dish. Primary job responsibilities include preparing and consistently executing a variety of hot and cold dishes including appetizers, salads, sauces, sides, entrees, and desserts following standardized recipes. Emphasis and care should be given to attractive plating with use of garnishes, dressings and sauces. Production cook will wash, peel, slice, measure and portion vegetables, pastas, meats, cheeses and desserts. setting up the line prior to meal service, preparing food according to recipes. Additionally, this individual must possess strong professionalism, a helpful spirit of cooperation, and a strong sense of detail, especially in areas of sanitation. Experience working in a high volume, upscale restaurant with two or more years of experience is preferred. Shifts are 12:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. working some weekdays and weekends 10:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. (40 hour work week).
