Position Title: Prepper
Department: Brand Creative – Photo Studio
Reports to: Director, Photo Studio
Overview:
We are seeking a junior Prepper with excellent organizational skills expressing an eagerness to work in a professional team-oriented studio environment. Candidates will provide consistent and quality handling of fashion merchandise assuming all tasks related to preparing samples for Catalog and Internet stills photography.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare merchandise for styling and photography in all categories of business.
- Organize racks with all elements for each shot as indicated on shot list and layouts.
- Coordinate with Still Coordinators on missing or erroneous samples.
- Collaborate with stylist and photographer to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain prep and rack areas.
- Responsible for returning merchandise to Sample Closet or Stills Coordinators.
- Manage prepping equipment

Hourly Range: $26.83 - $32.21 At J.Crew Group (JCG) we aim to pay competitively for our company’s size and industry. The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The base salary is just one component of J.Crew Group’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes the opportunity for bonus, competitive benefits and perks.
