For over 25 years, Fresh & Ready Foods has been manufacturing and distributing high-quality sandwiches, salads, wraps, entrees, box lunches, and much more. In addition to what we make, we are concerned with how we make it. We have a comprehensive, detailed food safety program that gives us an extra level of confidence in the foods we manufacture. We are currently seeking for full-time Preparation Specialist to work flexible schedules to include weekends.
Essential Job Functions
Perform daily tasks associated with food production prep operations for Fresh & Ready Foods. Prepare food items and cleans work areas. Adheres to high quality, quantity, and sanitation standards. Responsible for accurately assembling all food products within a set production timeline. Ensure a high level of quality on all food items by following instructions from line supervisors, managers, and production reports. Work effectively with production team to ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly production goals are met.
Responsibilities
· Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils;
· Weigh or measure ingredients, such as meat and cheeses
· Prepare fresh condiments, including lettuce and tomatoes;
· Cut and slice meats to prepare for cooking;
· Mix ingredients for salads;
· Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage;
· Take and record temperatures of food and food storage areas;
· Check and control equipment used to prepare food items;
· Keeping machines clean at all times,
· Assist in loading and unloading food items and ensure that they are stored appropriately as instructed by supervisors and managers;
· Prepare food items in accordance to written and verbal procedures;
· Operate food processing equipment in a safe manner according to written and verbal instructions;
· Count and record food items,
· Make sure that food frozen food items are stored and rotated properl
· Ensure that food products are processed and prepared by following standards of cleanliness and hygiene,
· Comply with “First-In – First-Out” food safety systems and procedures;
· Monitor quality and quantity of food items;
· Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);
· Adhere of all company policies, procedures, and standards,
· May work in other food production areas and units on occasion;
· Ensure that your work area is kept clean at all times;
· Identify opportunities and find solutions for continuous improvement; and
· Other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers.
Requirements
· Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, this includes coolers and freezers
· Must be willing to work flexible schedule and extended hours as needed, including nights and weekends
· Must be fast, accurate and neat
· Must have impeccable personal hygiene
· Must be able to lift weights up to 30-49 lbs
· Must be able to work in cold temperatures ranging from 30-50 degrees
· Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management and executive team
