Job Title: Vegetable Prep Assistant/Cook

Location: West Midtown

Schedule: Part-time, Monday to Thursday

Shifts: Day shift, optional night shift

Hours: Minimum 5 hours per day-Minimum 3 Days Per Week, starting as early as 6AM, tasks concluding by 7PM

Salary: $18.00 Per Hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a Vegetable Prep Assistant/Cook to join our team. This position entails primarily prep work, including peeling, chopping, roasting/cooking vegetables & seafood according to instructions, as well as rolling meatballs, among other tasks. The ideal candidate will uphold cleanliness and organization standards in accordance with Health Code regulations and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.

• Chopped Bell Peppers
• Sliced Cabbage
• Chopped Sweet Potatoes
• Sliced Carrots
• Roasted Sweet Potatoes
• Boiled Carrots
• Trimmed Beef/Pork
• Chopped Chicken Breast

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation and punctuality are a must.
• Strong teamwork skills and adaptability to changing work demands.
• Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency in preparing both hot and cold food items.
• Experience in reading and following recipes and instructions.
• Flexibility to work a schedule based on the needs of the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

• Complete prep lists and tasks as assigned.
• Rinse and cut raw food products.
• Prepare menu items according to standard recipes.
• Ensure all food is presented to standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
