Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited the following:

• Programming of direct mail services and projects
• Remaining familiar with postal regulations and printing capabilities
• Performing quality assurance checks
• Printing reports and job documentation as required
• Providing extended hours coverage to departmental projects as required by schedule, supervisor, and manager
• Following safety guidelines for department and company
• Perform additional tasks as directed by manager
• Responsible for following quality assurance procedures
• Provide assistance to other programmers and departments
• Develop solutions to meeting unique customer needs
• Perform image processing, including retouching, page makeup, file formatting, silhouettes, trapping, air brushing, color corrections and related operations.
• Create image proofs and make file revisions as needed.  May create impositions to process jobs for press. 
• Other tasks as directed by Manager

Qualifications

• Must be able to write variable logic for programming
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.  Organizational, planning skills are required. 
• Visual Basic programming is a plus
• Advanced understanding of design and typography and the process of creating a publication through all its phases from concept to printing. 
• Extensive experience in Macintosh desktop publishing (including such software as QuarkXpress, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustration) is required. 
• Demonstrated talent as an expert designer able to apply skills on any creative projects, including an understanding of the need to balance function and visual appearance to achieve successful communication. 
• Requires knowledge of production issues.  
• Able to understand and compile cost estimates for creative products and image files. 
• Able to understand client requirement and solve highly technical design problems and meet expectations while remaining in budget for creative assignments. 

 

Education & Knowledge

• BS degree in programming or related field or minimal 3 years industry work experience

Hourly Rate Disclosure Statement:  The pay range for this role at the noted location is $36.00 to $45.00 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include], overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
