We are currently seeking a highly resourceful, mission-oriented Technical Lead to help drive innovations and contributions to our National Security at NGA. As a Senior Precise Geo-Positioning Scientist, you'll provide strategic, data-driven solutions in cutting-edge Geospatial-Intelligence initiatives to establish accurate reports and visualizations relating to potential threats and event anomalies. This role functions as the foundation for our ability to assess and develop coordinated operations in the pursuit of safety at home and abroad.
As the Senior Precise Geo-Positioning Scientist, you will provide a critical service that will enable informed and strategic decision-making; guide tactical operations; aid in targeting and surveillance; establish and maintain geodetic control points; and ensure accurate reference frames for global positioning to support satellite navigation, elevation, and terrain systems. You will utilize your expertise in geodesy, photogrammetry, and critical geospatial software programs to collect, analyze, and process high-resolution imagery and LIDAR data to ensure the accuracy and consistency of all visualizations in support of military and intelligence operations.
Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Geo-Related Degree: Master's w/ 9 years' experience OR Bachelor's w/ 12 years' experience
- Programming preferred - Python
- Proficiency in software applications - QT Modeler, ArcGIS, QGIS, and Matlab
- Ability to analyze complex geospatial data, identify patterns, and develop innovative solutions
- SME in relation to Geodesy, GIS, Photogrammetry, Precision Metrics, and LiDAR
- Understanding of and ability to leverage statistical data
