SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking an experienced and driven Detailer for our growing precast concrete team in York, PA. The Detailer is primarily responsible for developing detailed shop drawings by interpreting design documents and specifications.
A successful candidate should have experience in drafting and detailing, with strong computer and communication skills and a willingness to learn. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and other instructions to create accurate and constructible shop drawings
- Develop bill of materials for fabrication of precast structures
- Perform detailed dimensional and checks
- Inspect design for interferences and constructability
- Perform basic and complex layouts
- Work with Precast Project Managers to facilitate projects/materials start-up
- Perform other related duties to support the precast team
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Must be detail orientated and have strong communication skills
- AutoCAD experience and proficiency is required
- Revit/Fusion 360 experience is highly preferred but not required
- Titan 3000 Precast Software knowledge is beneficial but not required
- Previous concrete/rebar detailing experience is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as geometry, trigonometry, fractions, and percentages
