Report to Processing Manager
As a Pre Roll Machinist you are required to produce prerolls utilizing automated operating equipment line efficiently and compliantly, while maintaining a safe production and sanitary work environment. The Pre Roll Machinist assists the Processing Supervisors and Managers with daily tasks, as needed, to maintain a productive work environment. This is a high volume position and requires attention to detail, and an ability to work with and fix machine related issues.
What does the day to day of this position look like?
75% - Rolling pre rolls on an automated machine
10% - Prep work and cleaning
10% - Inventory and supply management
5% - Reports and logs
JOB DUTIES:
- Assisting with the operations of all preroll manufacturing and infusion equipment.
- Complete daily production tasks set forth by the department manager
- Operation of the pre-roll machine, conducting quality control checks on each pre-roll before packaging.
- Cannabis inventory organizing and labeling
- Perform visual quality control inspections of cannabis flower products
- Loads Pre-roll machine with supplies, minimizing wasted time and material.
- Weigh, Pack, Fold, Tote and band tubs for each strain until cannabis strain is completed.
- Produce top tier quality pre-rolls in various sizes as directed.
- Transfer finished product to designated rack for labeling.
- Assists in the Preroll production process including running the Roll Pros, grinder and packaging lines
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment daily.
- Contributes to optimism and supports the team environment in a way that elevates morale, sharing concerns with the management team when needed.
- Analyzes and troubleshoots technical issues with industrial machinery and equipment.
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs on machinery.
- On occasion you may be asked to cross train or help in other departments/positions (Trim/Manicure, Post-Harvest, Packaging).
- Maintains batches and keeps records of manufactured produced products.
- Able to work independently and as a team to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Observing all required PPE requirements while producing pre-rolls.
- Grinding pre-roll material in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Ensure production deadlines and quotas are being met.
- Work with the flower processing (trimming/sorting) department to ensure scheduling of production based on smalls/trim availability.
- Maintain production compliance based on regulations.
- Ensure clean workspace and effective safe working environment.
- Assists in developing preroll, flower packaging, and sift/rosin Standard Operating Procedures and best practices with Manufacturing and Post Production Director.
- Ensures proper storage of Finished Goods and packaging.
- Maintain Quality Management System checks to ensure Quality Control/Quality Assurance compliance.
- Using automated operating equipment to complete tasks.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to cannabis cultivation during the manufacturing phase.
- Participate in the harvesting process, following established procedures and contributing to the team's efforts.
- Assist in recording and documenting relevant data related to the department's activities.
- Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all GMP regulations
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or GED).
- Previous experience in cannabis processing is preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations related to cannabis cultivation/manufacturing is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time. THIS ROLE MAY REQUIRE EVENING (SWING) SHIFT HOURS, $21 per hour
