Pre-Production / Assistant Designer

 Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Liaison between production team and designers
• Responsible of gathering all details of a style to enter in our Web PDM system, which include:Knowledgeable of fittings and how a sample is supposed to fit on a dress form for photos
  • Requesting samples for fittings
  • Working with the designer on trim details to be added to our WEB PDM.
  • Need to know fabric, denim, knits, woven for fabric codes
  • Need to know/learn denim washes for wash codes
  • Create flat sketches if needed on Illustrator
• May have to assist in taking photos of samples on model or mannequin
• Photo editing in Photoshop
• Create CAD linesheets for sales & production teams
• Updating /creating design tech packs
• Maintaining/ updating WIP report on excel
• Responsible of tracking samples for customer’s ecom photoshoots & scheduling to ensure deadlines are met
• Assist Design team with sending out packages, samples lab dips etc

Experience and Qualifications:

• Strong computer & communication skills
• Expert in Microsoft
• Familiar with Web PDM Systems
• Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop proficient
• Able to multitask and work successfully in a fast paced environment
• Organized and detailed oriented
• Associate’s Degree or higher in a related study such as:
  • Apparel design, Apparel Tech Design & Product development.

Salary:

$60,000 - $75,000 depending on experience and qualifications
