JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Part-time, 25 hours per week

- Evenings & weekends
- Remote and office availability
We are seeking a pre-licensed, mental health clinician to join our practice. The clinician will provide therapeutic services to a diverse client population, offering expertise in anxiety, depression, grief, and other related issues.
In this role you will be accountable for clinical treatment and therapeutic services involving complex case assignments. This includes, but is not limited to, providing direct clinical, mental health treatment, conducting ongoing assessments, consulting and working with other healthcare providers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct individual, family, or group therapy sessions in accordance with the clinician's area of expertise;
- Assess and diagnose clients' mental health concerns and develop appropriate treatment plans;
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation as required by ethical and legal standards;
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, both within and outside of the practice, to ensure comprehensive client care;
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay abreast of current practices and treatment modalities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of graduate degree in counseling (or equivalent) at accredited university
- LPCA associates welcome
- Self-motivated and committed to clients' therapeutic goals
- Must have a CT license as a mental health provider at the associate level (ie: LMSW, LPCA, LMFTA)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY:
- Considerable knowledge about theories of human behavior, diagnostic criteria for mental illnesses;
- Social, cultural economic, political, religious, and other issues that influence behavior;
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing licensed practitioners in the state of Connecticut;
- Considerable oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and to apply various treatment modalities such as behavioral, cognitive, and crisis intervention approaches.
