Pre Admission Testing - Registered Nurse

Sign-On Bonus: External applicants eligible for up to $20,000.00 with a two (2) year commitment to the role.

Sign-on bonus eligibility: Open to external applicates who have not been previously employed by CMC in the last rolling 9 months.

This is a full time (0.8 - 1.0 Status), days shift Registered Nurse position in the Pre Admission Testing Department.

The RN utilizes nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer. Completes the pre-anesthesia assessment in preparation for scheduled surgical procedures.  Provides expert care and education to patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, mentor and positive role model for peers and assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, surgical procedures, interventions and pharmacological agents.

Minimum Required: RN License required. BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire. Three (3) years previous experience in surgical services (PAT, PreOp, IntraOp, or PACU). Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills required.

Preferred / Desired:  BSN Preferred. Prefer experience in outpatient surgery setting or surgeon office setting. Prefer CAPA certification.

On-Call / Weekend Requirements: None.
