Novant Health Medical Group is seeking a Practice Operations Improvement Specialist II. Primary job responsibilities include development and assistance in the implementation of improvement strategies and analysis of financial data to enhance operational success in physician practices within Novant Health Medical Group. The role includes working with the Operational Advancement team on improvement of processes for operational activities, including revenue-cycle related functions, in the practice setting (i.e. front desk/scheduling/patient registration/clinical workflows/training & education, etc.) across Novant Health Medical Group to ensure integration of resources, best practices and continuity of operational procedures. The position includes ongoing assessments of the current state of physician practices and recommendations for improvement to reflect a high standard of customer service and financial vitality. In addition, the role will include assistance with internal and external financial reporting, accounting and transactional research and analysis and participation in the annual budgeting process. - Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, nursing, business administration, finance or other related field.
- Experience: Minimum five years management experience in the healthcare industry, physician practice management experience, preferred.
- Additional skills (required): Educational planning, performance consulting, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving and decision making, giving and receiving feedback, team building, safety and infection control, regulatory/governing standards, corporate and regional policies and procedures, office equipment, knowledge of computer systems and applications, knowledge of human resource management practices including supervision and staff development. Must be able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management skills.
