Pulmonary & Critical Care Practice Administrator

Reports to: Shareholders/Managing Partners

Scheduled Hours per week: Monday to Friday Full time

Location: Pensacola, Florida

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Pensacola Lung Group is an independently owned and successful Pulmonary & Critical Care practice in Pensacola Florida. We are searching for a Practice Administrator to help us grow and sustain our successful enterprise. Our current Administrator is retiring after 30+ years of leading our company and we are looking for the next leader that will ensure a successful transition and help us modernize and transform our practice. Our practice involves a large volume Outpatient Pulmonary Clinic, Inpatient Pulmonary and Critical Care Activities at three hospitals in Pensacola, and an Accredited Sleep Center. In addition, the Administrator oversees the operations of all employees and a large group of Nurses and Advanced Practice Providers.

The Practice Administrator is responsible for all aspects of the performance of the practice. The leadership style of the Practice Administrator is critical to the overall success of the practice, and we are looking for someone who embodies servant leadership characteristics. This position reports to the Shareholders of the Company (Managing Partners)

There are a variety of roles inherent to this position and the Practice Administrator must be flexible to manage multiple, wide-ranging priorities.

SCOPE/ DUTIES:

  • Prepare Financials/Monitor Productivity/Prepare RVU reports
  • Directly Supervise the Clinical Practice Leaders in our Company (i.e., office supervisor, financial/billing supervisor, etc.)
  • Oversee Physician Providers and Advanced Clinical Providers employed by the Practice.
  • Track/Manage Practice Operational Budgets
  • Oversee HR and Benefits for Employees.
  • Oversee successful internal billing department and interface with insurers.
  • Administrator for the Retirement Program
  • Prepare and File Licenses & Local Taxes
  • Manage Banking
  • Create /Oversee Patient Policies and Supervise Operational Aspects of our Practice.
  • Forecasting and Strategic Planning for Practice

REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of five (3) years minimum healthcare management

Salary range: Salary commensurate with experience.

Paid Benefits: Fully paid benefits for health care, dental, life & disability coverage. Retirement (practice contributes 3% of prior year salary, and a 2% contribution as a discretionary profit share).

Paid Time Off: 22 days PTO, six (6) paid holidays.

1. REQUIRED SKILLS:

a. Strong Leadership Skills: Able to articulate short- and long-term goals and motivate Management Team toward that end. Maintains the necessary structure and stability needed, creating a positive atmosphere that supports the reputation of the practice and its ability to attract and retain outstanding providers and employees.

b. Strong Analytical Ability: The position serves as the primary analyst for the practice. Must be able to identify performance trends and deviations from the norm, and provide projections and break-even analysis for the practice for programs under consideration.

c. Strong Computer Skills: Must be proficient in the use of an EMR and the ability to run reports and extract data. Proficiency with Excel is critical to success in this position. The position also requires proficiency on numerous web-based platforms such as QuickBooks, payroll, the retirement program, banking cash management, and various insurance/payor databases.
