Job SummaryJDA is seeking a highly motivated, result-driven Account Manager with a proven track record of developing and executing strategic communications plans, media relations campaigns, and media strategies
As an Account Manager at JDA, you will help our clients tell their stories and bring them to life for their target audiences. Account Managers are responsible for every aspect of the client experience: leading client relations, creating and executing short-term and long-term public relations strategies, tracking news mentions, and providing regular reports to clients. As an Account Manager at JDA, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate must have a knack for newsworthy storytelling and be dedicated to building narratives that guide and support our clients’ brand stories. Experience identifying opportunities for public awareness growth and mitigating risks to our client’s brand image and integrity are key to success in this role. As a highly-skilled PR professional, this person must be able to execute on a long-term campaign and quickly turn around a press release or editorial. As an integral part of the JDA team culture, this new team member must have an exceptional work ethic and be committed to high-vision, high-values leadership.
Job Responsibilities- Set creative agendas (long and short term) to help clients tell their stories and reach their audiences through earned media
- Engage with clients on a weekly basis to provide project updates
- Write, edit and fact-check press releases, statements, and editorials
- Stay abreast of media trends and identify opportunities in the news cycle
- Collaborate with the team to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
- Vet media inquiries and track news mentions for each client
- Conceptualize and execute high-impact events aligned with clients’ communication objectives, driving increased brand awareness and stakeholder engagement.
- Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising
- Prepare and submit PR reports using Cision and other industry platforms to measure media impact
- Act as a client liaison on the ground for events and press conferences
Requirements
- BS/BA in Business, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Public Relations Officer or similar PR role
- Experience managing media relations (online, broadcast and print)
- Background in researching, writing and editing publications
- Broad media connections, particularly in Faith, Business, and Government is a plus
- Client/Customer Focus
- Exceptional communication skills (oral and written)
