Job Description
Summary: Seeking a Power Electronics Engineer with experience in power electronic converter topologies, digital control algorithms, and PCB designs.
Requirements:
US Citizenship preferred due to US Government ITAR program restrictions; Green Card holders accepted
BS in electrical engineering, computer science, or related major required, MS and PhDs a plus
Experience designing motor drives, ac-dc, and dc-ac converters
Experience applying embedded software to motor drives, ac-dc, and dc-ac converters
Preferred Skills:
Active Security Clearance a plus
Experience programming various microcontrollers and DSPs a plus
Hand-on experience with OPAL-RT, Typhoon, or other HIL platforms a plus
Responsibilities:
Design and testing of SiC based power electronic converter topologies including active rectifiers, isolated DC-DC converters, solid-state transformers, and high-speed motor drives.
Design and test DSP based digital control algorithms, FPGA supported modulators, and PLC based high-level system controllers.
Detailed PCB designs including SiC gate drivers, system control PCBs, and support hardware.
Design embedded control algorithms, harmonic compensators software PLLs.
Develop Controller-Hardware-in-the-loop test setups.
Pay Details: $58.00 to $78.00 per hour
