Job Summary
Description
Our company is seeking a highly experienced Senior Power BI Administrator to manage our Power BI environment and implement best practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Power BI administration, including deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Power BI infrastructure. They will also possess in-depth knowledge of Power BI best practices and be able to advise on best practices for platform configuration, workspace management, report governance, platform security, and user adoption.
In this role, you will be a member of the visualization administration scrum team responsible for the global footprint of visualization platforms, including Power BI. This is an opportunity to administer a Power BI platform and influence the best practice model within the company, working closely with visualization development teams and business contacts.

Job Description
Your responsibilities may include:

• Administers and maintains ConocoPhillips' Power BI environment which includes the platform's deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Manages and optimizes the performance of the Power BI environment as the platform owner and provides expert recommendations for improvement and innovation
• Ensures the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data in the Power BI environment
• Establishes best practices for platform administration, usage, report design, data modeling, data security, and user adoption; provides appropriate training in these areas
• Monitors Power BI features, enhancements and releases; subsequently performing assessments to determine how these impact existing services
• Develops and maintains documentation for Power BI processes, procedures, and standards
• Performs automation of administration tasks within the platform
• Provides technical support to Power BI users which includes troubleshooting simple to highly complex issues related to data access, refresh and visualization

Basic/Required:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, other related IT business field, other related technical field, or foreign equivalent
• 7 or more years of experience in IT platform administration, or application support
• 3 or more years of experience in Power BI administration, including deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Power BI infrastructure.
• Advanced knowledge with Power BI governance and security, platform administration, best practices on platform maintenance including user access, roles, workspaces, premium nodes, tenant settings, and permissions
• Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work in a distributed/remote team environment where team members may be in different physical locations and time zones

Preferred:

• 1 or more years of experience operating or using IaaS and PaaS services in an enterprise environment
• 1 or more years of experience using languages such as: Shell, Python, or PowerShell
• Microsoft certifications in Power BI or related technologies
• Intermediate knowledge of IT security and controls
• Intermediate proficiency in power BI data modeling, DAX, M query, and power query
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Ability to anticipate and respond to changing business needs and priorities
• Ability to apply new technology and innovation to improve processes and business results
