Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator and Power BI Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and support of Oracle and SQL databases, with a focus on generating custom Manufacturing Operations Reports using Microsoft Power BI. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Essential Functions:
Database Administration:
Design and implement Oracle and SQL databases to support various business functions, with a strong focus on manufacturing operations data.
Monitor and maintain the health, security, and performance of the databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning to minimize downtime.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Develop custom reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI to visualize manufacturing data and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and provide actionable insights through data visualization.
Create stored procedures, triggers, and functions in Oracle and SQL to support report data extraction.
Data Integration and ETL:
Implement data integration processes, extract, transform, and load (ETL) to consolidate data from various sources into the databases.
Create UI user interfaces and templates to streamline data entry from manual to automated processes.
Optimize and automate ETL processes to ensure data is up-to-date and readily available for reporting. Support SPC and data decision / outlier distributed reports to highlight issues.
Performance Optimization:
Identify and resolve database performance issues, including query tuning and indexing, to ensure efficient data retrieval for reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in database administration with Oracle and SQL databases.
Advanced ability in Microsoft Power BI for report creation and data visualization.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL scripting skills for database development and maintenance.
Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration techniques and consolidation.
Familiarity with Manufacturing Operations and the ability to translate business requirements into effective reports.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
Data analysis experience engaging with Manufacturing Engineering heavily preferred.

Sitting, standing, and walking (up to continuously); frequent use of computer and telephone requiring repetitive finger, hand, and arm movement; occasionally carry office supplies and other miscellaneous items up to 50 pounds. Continuous use of seeing, hearing, verbal communication.
Working Environment:
Working in an indoor setting and manufacturing environment. Position is based at our Nicholson location in Garland, TX. This position is Full-Time.
