Power BI Architect
Hybrid, Nashville or Jersey City
Role Overview:

• Emphasis is on providing business insights and managing end to end project delivery
• Structure analytical solution to address business objectives and problem solving
• Develop long-lasting, trusted advisor relationships with clients
• Able to work in dual shore engagement across multiple time zones
• Manage business uncertainty
• Manage day-to-day project operations, serve as the functional and domain expert on the project team to ensure that they meet client expectations
• Provide quality oversight on deliverables prepared by the project team before submitting to client

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for building and enabling the foundation layer for dashboards and self-service reporting through Power BI.
• Design, build, integrate, monitor, and handle Power BI environments and premium capacities in accordance with best practices and legal and regulatory requirements.
• Handle Power BI tenant and capacity settings, workspaces, datasets and refreshes, data integration, etc.
• Ensure appropriate security measures are in place to secure company data in Power BI. This includes setting up access controls, creating data security policies, and implementing encryption.
• Manage data gateways and connections. Setting up and upgrading of gateways, creation of connections, monitoring gateway performance, and resolving gateway related issues.
• Partner with business and technical decision makers to understand requirements and present a shared technical and architectural vision to maximize the benefit of Power BI and the Power Platform as a whole.

• Develop visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop
• Connect Power BI to different data sources, import data and transform data for Business Intelligence
• Proficient in creating complex DAX queries and bookmarks
• Implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI
• Develop tabular/multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards using M-Query
• Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements
• Configure MS Azure/AWS resources to facilitate analysis process

Candidate Profile:

• Should have 8-12 years of hands on experience in Data management, Reporting and Business Intelligence
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply

• Designed and documented the Architecture of end of end BI solution

• Proficiency in M language, DAX SQL (Power BI)

• Experience in PowerBI service features like Dataflows, Deployment Pipeline etc.

• Knowledge of MS Azure/AWS services
• Insurance Industry knowledge preferred.
• PowerBI certification preferred.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
• Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to: location and experience. The base salary range listed is just one component of EXL's total compensation package for employees.
