The Role

We are looking for an experienced Power and Signal Integrity (PI/SI) Design Engineer to join a small but growing Processor Design group, advancing the art of high performance CPU circuit design.

In this role as a senior PI/SIDesign Engineer, you will be in a design lead role responsible for performing system-level Power and Signal Integrity analyses of various critical power domains and high-speed signal routes. This role will provide opportunities to work across multiple teams across different geographies within Ampere to ensure a robust implementation of next generation systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with product engineers to develop system-level PI/SI specifications
  • Develop methodologies to help simulate and validate system-level design implementation meets these specifications
  • Reviews implementations and provide feedback to design teams to help improve overall design
  • Develop post-silicon test plans to help characterize and ensure spec compliance
  • Develop customer-facing specification and document, and take customers through the specs as required
  • Work with other junior engineers to provide leadership and technical guidance

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
  • Extensive expertise in PI/SI analyses methods with in-depth understanding of key concepts like time domain and frequency domain analysis etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of power delivery network architectures and optimization techniques, high-speed signal routing techniques
  • Familiarity with Server platforms/systems is a plus
  • Experience with PowerSI, PowerDC and/or other equivalent industry standard tools

Education:
BS/MS/Ph.D in EE

Pay and Benefits

Ampere offers a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus, stock, and comprehensive benefits. The full base pay range for this role is between $129,000 and $215,000, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $143,000 and $238,000. We also offer an annual bonus program tied to internal company goals and annual meritocratic stock awards that enable our employees to participate in the success of the company.
