Powder Coat Spray Paint Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Location: Lakewood, New Jersey



Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for Spraying Powder Paint in a booth within a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will be conscientious while operating and maintaining equipment in the PCL Department by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

• Sprays liquid paint or powder to part specifications.
• Able to troubleshoot spraying problems while parts are going through Powder Coating booth.
• Performs minor maintenance of spraying equipment including but not limited to booth, guns, and pumps.
• Checks product for good and uniform coating and other imperfections.
• Works at different stations or departments as production needs require.
• Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.
• Follows all safety guidelines and wears proper personal protective equipment.
• Maintains inventory accuracy (powder inventory and daily usage).
• Leadership responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES:

• Ability to read work instructions.
• Able to work overtime and weekends.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to be certified in-house to operate PMHV.
• Able to read standard and metric rulers

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Manual dexterity
• High school education or equivalent.
• 4+ years of related work experience spraying liquid paint or powder, preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; Reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and lift up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

PPE REQUIREMENTS:

• In compliance with OSHA standards it has been determined that Safety glasses and footwear are required on the plant floor. Safety shoes, goggles, full Tyvek uniform are required for this position, additional PPE may be required per specific tasks in the department.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• Working environment is in an unheated/air- conditioned manufacturing/warehouse setting where the employee may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, cleaning solvents, lubricants, or noise.
