• Trained Postpartum Doula / Newborn Care Specialist
• Experience supporting growing families in their home
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Ability to pass a background and health check [I don’t think we’re legally allowed to require vaccinations]
• Liability Insurance
• Live in or near San Antonio, TX
• Ability to attend in-person meetings and events

Snugs & Kisses is looking for well-qualified Postpartum Doulasand Newborn Care Specialists to join the team. We are a team of passionate caregivers and nurturers who genuinely want every family to thrive as they welcome their baby into the world. We know parenting is hard and tiring but we also know it doesn’t have to be. Together, we provide a tribe-like community rich with support and resources to help parents during this time of transition.

As a Snugs & Kisses Postpartum Doula and/or Newborn Care specialist, your primary responsibility is providing nurturing, helpful support to the parent(s) and/or Newborn Care aligned with recommendations of the American Association of Pediatrics. Your support in either capacity should be without judgment or bias.

As part of the Support Specialist team, the Postpartum Doula and/or Newborn Care Specialist is hired as an independent contractor.

The ideal candidate should:

• Have reliable transportation as travel to clients’ home is required,
• Have excellent spoken and written communication,
• Be willing to serve families of various cultures, religion, ethnicity, and other dynamics including non-traditional family structures, methods of conception, etc.
• Work well as part of a team
• Maintain accurate notes for each shift
• Easily meet compliance due dates

Availability:

Snugs & Kisses offers support 24/7 to clients within their home (and sometimes at the hospital). The Postpartum Doula and/or Newborn Care Specialist must be available to work within at least one of the following shifts:

Equally as important, as an Independent Contractor with Snugs & Kisses, you will always decide your availability! You decide what hours within a shift works for you. You decide what days of the week. You decide when you’re unavailable - no questions asked! We schedule based on client needs and therefore are hiring part time and full-time support specialists.
