Responsibilities

• This postdoctoral research position will assist with the conceptualization and implementation of a randomized controlled trial of a secondary-level intervention in Statistics and probability.
• This position will provide opportunities to gain experience and make contributions in the area of data management, collection, and analysis as well as educational and psychological measurement.
• Publication of data and research findings will be expected.

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics Education, mathematics education, curriculum and instruction, or related area (cannot be hired before successful defense of candidate’s dissertation)
• Research interest/experience in teaching and learning of statistics
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to pass a background check to interact with children in public schools
• Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in R programming language
• Experience working in the K–12 educational system
• Knowledge of best practices in educational and psychological measurement
• Background in quantitative research and evaluation that supports causal inference
