Job Description
NREL seeks a postdoctoral research associate to support on-going projects on development and application of Electrochemical Microscopy methods for the analysis of interfacial processes occurring in lithium ion batteries.
Job responsibilities will include:
- Designing and conducting experiments to test hypotheses working both with senior staff as well as independently.
- Data collection analysis and preparation of presentations and manuscripts to communicate to external parties.
- Assisting senior staff in preparation of research proposals to help expand NREL’s research portfolio in Electrochemical Microscopy.

Basic Qualifications
Must be a recent PhD graduate within the last three years.- Must meet educational requirements prior to employment start date.
Additional Required Qualifications
- Experience in electroanalytical chemistry method development.
- Experience with probe microscopy methods.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficient research contribution and publication track record.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)
Job Profile: Postdoctoral Researcher / Annual Salary Range: $73,200 - $120,800 NREL takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
