Job Posting for Postdoctoral Research Fellow(s) - Karnoub Laboratory at Boston Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center and Harvard Medical School.
Postdoctoral positions are available at the newly established Karnoub laboratory at the Boston Veterans Affairs Medical Research Center - West Roxbury Campus. The Karnoub VA laboratory adopts a multidisciplinary approach encompassing cell and molecular biology, genetics, immunology, and animal modeling techniques to investigate fundamental regulators of breast cancer initiation and progression with special emphasis on development of therapeutics aimed at curing metastatic disease.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. with a strong background in cell and molecular biology. Competitive candidates will have demonstrated expertise and a proven track record of publications in Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or related topics. Knowledge in mouse handling and surgery is desirable. Strong motivation, independence, and sense of teamwork are essential, along with excellent interpersonal skills for effective interactions with a dynamic group of colleagues.

```Duties```
- Conduct research experiments and studies in the field of molecular biology
- Perform laboratory techniques such as tissue culture, mammalian cell culture, and transfection
- Utilize molecular biology techniques including PCR, DNA cloning, and gene expression analysis
- Conduct protein analysis using techniques such as Western blot and ELISA
- Perform chromatography for purification of biomolecules
- Collect and analyze data, interpret results, and prepare reports
- Collaborate with other researchers and contribute to research publications
```Experience```
- PhD in a relevant field such as molecular biology, biochemistry, or related discipline
- Strong knowledge and experience in molecular biology techniques
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data analysis and visualization
- Experience with animal physiology research is a plus
- Familiarity with research laboratory protocols and safety procedures
