Pay : $75/hr on W2

Job Description:
As an RN in the Post Partum/Mother Baby unit, you will play a crucial role in supporting the well-being of mothers and newborns during the postpartum period. The contract position spans 13 weeks, offering you the opportunity to contribute to the health and happiness of families in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive maternal and child care, focusing on the postpartum period.
• Utilize critical care skills in the care of both mothers and newborns.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation techniques.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assess postpartum recovery.
• Educate and support new mothers in infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum self-care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records.
• Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and standards of care.

Requirements:

• Active New York State RN License.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NRP certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of maternal and child care experience.
• Proficient in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work 11.5-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
