In this position, you will pursue research in mathematical and theoretical biology, with emphasis on problems in Viral infection and transmission dynamics, immune responses and Data Analysis. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with mathematical, statistical and machine learning skills, and a strong interest in Viral infection and transmission dynamics, immune responses or viral genetic Data Analysis. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in the core areas of research mentioned above; and commitment to work to the high LANL standards, including attending required training. The candidate should have good programming skills, good working knowledge of one or more mathematical or statistical packages (e.g., R, python, tensorflow...) and excellent English (both written and oral).
Education/Experience: A master's degree earned no more than two years ago in Biostatistics, Computer Science or a related field.

Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2.
