Job Description

NOTE: This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days. Locations: Minneapolis, MN or Charlotte, NC.

Credit Strategy and Program Management (CSPM) is responsible for portfolio management for the Wholesale portfolio of more than $325Bn across U.S. Bank. Standards and Governance is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure used to ensure the Wholesale portfolio remains within the banks risk appetite. The team provides independent risk management and governance and sets standards for functions including risk aggregation, risk identification, risk rating, risk appetite, policy compliance, stress testing and risk mitigation. The group works closely with Risk, the Business and various other key constituents to build out a comprehensive and proactive approach to portfolio management that promotes a strong risk management culture, aligned with U.S. Bank’s risk appetite.

The team is responsible for developing pro-active and forward-looking viewpoints and standards. Additionally, CSPM Officers are responsible for directing, monitoring, and coordinating risk management projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically more than eight years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • This role requires experience working in Commercial Real Estate
  • Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
  • Considerable understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
  • Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
  • Strong analytical, process facilitation and project management skills
  • Effective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
  • Applicable professional certifications
