Richmark Properties is currently hiring for a Portfolio Accountant with property management accounting experience, located near DFW. This is a remote / work-from-home / hybrid position and experience with Resman is preferred.
Job Description:
- Prepare and review financial statements, general ledgers, and reconciliations to ensure accurate representation of accounting activity, adhering to accounting policies and procedures while maintaining effective internal controls.
- Perform day to day accounting for multiple property management locations.
- Supervise and assist accounts payable process for weekly check runs.
- Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Responsible for cash management and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
- Responsible for multiple credit card reconciliations.
- Completes account reconciliations and posting of journal entries.
- Reviews payroll journals for accuracy and creates and posts payroll journal entries.
- Reconcile lender escrow accounts and prepare lender reserve draws.
- Work directly with the CFO and accounting team to ensure all deadlines are met and reports are accurate.
- Work with managers within portfolio to assist with any accounting/payable needs.
- Additional accounting duties as the need arises
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with full-cycle accounting
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Resman experience preferred / experience with property management software
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must be professional, self-motivated, detail-oriented, reliable, and have strong organizational skills.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Clearing background and drug screening
- Ability to meet in person for meetings or gatherings.
