**THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN HAMPTON BAYS NEW YORK**It would require you to relocate for the seasonal Pool Technician role in Spring/Summer 2024.

As a Pool Service Technician, you are responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of high-quality gunite swimming pools. This role involves ensuring that the pools are in excellent condition, operate efficiently, and meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Technicians in this position will work with a variety of pool equipment, chemicals, and tools to provide top-notch service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Routine Maintenance:
    • Perform regular inspections of gunite pools to identify issues and areas needing attention.
    • Clean and maintain pool surfaces, tile, grout, and surrounding areas.
    • Vacuum, skim, and brush pool surfaces to remove debris and maintain water clarity.
    • Test and adjust water chemistry, including pH levels, chlorine, and other chemicals.
    • Backwash and clean pool filters as needed.
    • Monitor and maintain water circulation and filtration systems.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Troubleshoot pool equipment, including pumps, motors, heaters, and automatic pool cleaners. Document required repairs utilizing Zuper to ensure they are scheduled
    • Perform preventive maintenance on pool equipment to prevent breakdowns.
    • Ensure all pool equipment is functioning optimally.
  • Water Quality Management:
    • Monitor and maintain water chemistry within specified parameters.
    • Adjust chemicals and filtration systems to ensure water quality and safety.
    • Address algae growth, scaling, and other water quality issues.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot automated chemical dosing systems.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety protocols and both industry and Tortorella guidelines for pool maintenance and repair.
    • Ensure compliance with local and state regulations related to pool water quality and safety.
    • Educate clients on pool safety practices and guidelines.
    • Works closely with the Training Department to ensure compliance
  • Customer Service:
    • Communicate effectively with clients regarding pool maintenance schedules, issues, and recommendations.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and address client concerns or inquiries promptly.
    • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Record Keeping & Work Order Compliance:
    • Keep detailed records of pool maintenance and repair activities in all necessary platforms, inclusive of Zuper.
    • Document water chemistry readings, maintenance tasks performed, and equipment repairs. Document all visits with photos.
    • Work orders completed fully by job end
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Identify and diagnose pool and equipment issues accurately.
    • Develop effective solutions to address complex problems.
    • Consult with Service Field Leads and/or Training Department for assistance when necessary.
  • Vehicle Safety and Maintenance:
    • Conduct regular inspections of company vehicles to identify issues and ensure they are in safe working condition.
    • Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other necessary tasks.
    • Document vehicle maintenance and safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
