Job Summary: Responsible for greeting guests in the pool area and serve food and beverage items to customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner. Ensure the entire pool area is clean and properly set up prior to the opening of the pool and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the day. This will be done by a consistent walkthrough of the pool area to be sure that the area is kept clean throughout the day and to be sure that all equipment is working and in place.
Essential Functions:
- Most work tasks are performed outdoors.
- Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures.
- Ability to describe all menu items, prices, and methods of preparation, using suggestive selling techniques to encourage the guests to choose items that are house specialties.
- Ability to make standard bar beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
- Setup Food and Beverage areas to include linen, service ware and glassware.
- Serve food and/or beverages in a professional manner.
- Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
- Making proficient sales transactions within Lightspeed
- Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guest’s overall satisfaction.
- Running Food
- Handling cash & other forms of payment
- Properly checking Id’s for guest who appear to be under 40
- Demonstrate responsible alcohol service
- Demonstrate impeccable product knowledge both Food and Beverage
- Perform opening, closing & side duties such as setting up/ breaking down station, refilling condiments, cleaning
- Knowledge of all table / seat numbers
- Escort guests to restroom when able
- Create “WOW” moments by collecting detailed information along the way
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Required to be able to work varying schedules from time to time. All employees are required to attend all scheduled training and departmental sessions.
- Arrive in assigned work area on time in full, clean and pressed assigned uniform for scheduled shift.
- Perform and complete any and all assigned tasks by management.
- Be totally familiar with hotel operations/locations and be able to direct guest and answer guest questions of general facility.
Ability to:
- Communicate in English in a clear, concise, grammatically correct, pleasant, and sincere manner.
- Understand requests and correctly, creatively, and expediently carry them out.
- Be outgoing, friendly, and patient even after working long hours.
- Handle multiple requests with poise, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Understand and practice the policies of the company.
- Use good judgment at all times.
- Work long hours when necessary and be flexible with schedule. Be able to work weekends and nights and holidays as necessary.
- Stand and walk for extended hours. Lift, carry, and push up to fifty pounds. I have read and fully understand the description of my job.
