We are seeking a Polyworks Analyst at our foundry in Tacoma, WA. This role will require you to accurately evaluate and document receiving, in-process and final inspection of highly intricate prototype and custom parts and assemblies for a variety of applications. You will need to have an extreme attention to detail, accuracy with numbers and the personal discipline to patiently work through suspect problems.
As a Polyworks Analyst you will:
  • Provide expertise in Quality Assurance for CNC manufactured parts, assemblies, complex tooling and other components
  • Utilize advanced inspections equipment; CMM, Romer Arms, Faro Arms and associated software, PCDMIS, PolyWorks
  • Hand inspect using micrometers, calipers, height gauges
  • Create and review technical documentation related to Receiving, In-process and Final inspection on Materials, Processes and Completed Product
  • Ensure conformance with customer Drawing, Specification and Purchase Order
  • Familiarity with calibration standards in line with NIST, ISO accreditation programs
Qualifications:
  • Have recent 3-5 years (min) working experience within a prototype machine shop atmosphere.
  • Have a reasonable understanding of math, including trigonometry and geometry
  • Have a strong understanding of GD&T
  • Be skilled in the use of all measurement equipment and machinery within a manufacturing environment
  • Be able to read all blueprints and parts drawings for high tolerance, precision parts
  • Bring ideas to the table to increase speed and efficiency in the department
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and pdf generation and modification software
Starting Hourly Pay: $19.97 (hourly rate will be based on current experience and will increase depending upon the Union Agreement)
Requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass a background check, physical and drug screening.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • No previous experience required.
  • Welding knowledge and experience (preferred)
Ability to commute/relocate: • Tacoma, WA 98409: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
