We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Polymer Scientist to work with our innovative Research and Development team.

Essential Job Functions:

· Develop, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot acrylamide and phenylboronic acid-based hydrogel formulations to achieve desired levels of performance and stability.

· Conduct monomer synthesis and purification followed by characterization via various analytical techniques (such as HPLC, Mass-spec, and/or NMR)

· Characterize formulations by employing current established processes across various analytical metrics including accuracy, reproducibility, specificity, sensitivity, etc.

· Scale up synthesis, establish quality control test methods & specifications, and transfer to manufacturing.

· Conduct tests to validate sensor performance in commercial cell-culture media environments.

· Communicate results and research progress to management and team members.

· Maintain detailed and organized records of project data, write SOPS.

Requirements:

· A PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, or a related field.

· Strong background in polymer synthesis, modification, and characterization techniques such as Spectrometry, HPLC and NMR.

· In-depth understanding of organic and inorganic chemistry principles and their application to functionalizing materials

· Must be highly motivated and able to work independently while also possessing exceptional communication and teamwork skills.

· Must be able to take a leadership role and converse with the team at a scientific level.

· Detail oriented, strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
