Work is performed under minimal supervision with considerable latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Position relies on experience to determine the best approach by using and interpreting policies and procedures.

An Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Adult Education, Business, or related field; Bachelor's degree is preferred; and five (5) years of experience working in a law enforcement agency; knowledge and experience working in a law enforcement training unit or division; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience.
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.
