Form of workThere's currently a Point of Sale Administrator opportunity available in St. Louis Park, MN. This person will have a focus in Menu Management and will utilize Qu POS. This is a nice to have skill, but not required.
Top Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience supporting restaurant POS back office solutions: Qu POS(similar POS software experience can include – i.e. Toast, Micros, Aloha, Par)
- Menu management experience within the retail, restaurant or QSR space (coordination experience with inventory items: menu configuration, new menu items, PLUs, speed of service data etc.)
- Experience providing support for POS issues (including QA, menu configuration, understanding of PCI compliance)
- Experience with Qu POS is a big plus!
Position Summary: Plans, assists and coordinates restaurant technology business initiatives and actions with vendor partners, franchisees, and Support Center Field teams, in conjunction with other departments and staff as directed.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the communication of new services, systems, tools, tips, technology, products and procedures to system.
- Coordinates and manages the completion, updating and distribution of assigned projects.
- Monitors and controls expenses within established budgetary guidelines.
- Responsible for the training and use of the restaurant POS and back-office solution through the field team, restaurant managers and franchisees.
- Responsible for the implementation and use of recommended restaurant operating technologies.
- Coordinate all inventory items, new menu items, recipes, abbreviations, costing information, PLUs, drive-thru timer/speed of service data and all other pertinent information is up to date.
- Assists in the completion of special projects undertaken by the restaurant technology department.
- Make recommendations for improvements to register programming and data collection methods.
- Responsible for configuring assigned Restaurant Technologies to align with business and operational execution goals, while maintaining data quality and appropriate integration to backend systems, restaurant operations, and future technologies
- Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless restaurant execution and great Guest experiences and provides relevant technical support to the restaurants and internal teams
- As an expert in assigned technologies, provides recommendations to the business and stakeholders on how Restaurant Technologies should be configured, and stays current with system information, changes, updates and supports maintenance of the product roadmap
- Executes regular product configuration needs
- These can include, but are not limited to, menu configuration and builds, recipe builds and maintenance, user access, hierarchy and data structure maintenance, item routing, order timing, and ongoing product updates
- Maintains the configuration and data quality of assigned products throughout the normal course of business activities
- Supports QA efforts by maintaining configuration and data quality in lab or sandbox environments
- Ensures quality of product configuration changes through validation and testing
- Executes change control procedures and conducts relevant QA prior to changes reaching production environments
- Provides ongoing restaurant level support to resolve issues with assigned technology products and tracks systemic trends to proactively identify potential issues
- Manages and resolves assigned support tickets and issues
- Defines and suggests optimal product configurations and potential product improvements to benefit the restaurant and Guest experience
- Critically analyzes current configuration, use cases, and available product functionality to identify system improvements
- Proactively maintains and documents knowledge of systems, use cases, and data flows related to assigned restaurant technology products
- Maintains knowledge around latest releases for assigned technology products
- Maintains change control system as required for assigned technology products
- Adheres to all PCI standards and security protocols as it pertains to assigned technology products, and other company policies
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of restaurant industry and operations.
- Strong trouble shooting skills; able to identify and correct restaurant technology issues for immediate and long-term effect.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, within the restaurant and outside, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Able to rationally solve problems and deal with concrete variables.
- Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used by employees, customers, etc.
- Able to plan, project and organize a variety of tasks and functions.
- Travel for this position is minimal (less than 10% of the time).
Job Specifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
