Job Description
Job Responsibilities include:
- Patient intake
- Verification of all patient history (surgery, medical, medication, allergy, social)
- Fitting patients for proper DME items
- Assist with small surgical procedures
- Communication with patients about their deductible before services are performed (xray, injection, DME, etc)
- Scan for orthotics
- Receive all orthotics, prepare orthotic scripts pick up sheets, and call patients to pick them up when they have arrived to the office
- Sterilize all used instruments
- Prepare surgical gauze packs
- Stock all patient rooms
- Order medical/retail and professional supplies
- Knowledge of what insurances require precertification/authorization for MRIs, orthotics,etc
- Authorize/precert MRIs, procedures, medications, etc
- Make sure all education forms are copied and in the binder/folders in the patient care rooms
- Take Xrays and maintain patient safety
- Perform Laser pain treatments
- Monitor inbox in eClinicalWorks
- Communicate with patients in regards to patient refills
- Knowledge of HIPPA and patient confidentiality
- Help with inputting of patients primary care physicians
- Receive ALL supplies (both office and medical), put away supplies, and properly breakdown the boxes
- Clean patient rooms between each patient (please see **)**make sure the chair is in the right position, all trash is in the trash can,magazine table is straight, floor is clean from toenail clippings and lint**
- Maintain stock of the soap dispensers and staff bathroom
- Rotate kitchen duty with the front desk/assistants
- Assist with phone calls when staff is away or at break times
- Make sure to check your voicemails each day and give the message to the correct person
- Monday-Thursday: 8AM - 5PM
- Friday: 7:30AM-2:00PM
