We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Lead Driver Dispatcher to join our team in the Fuel Transportation industry. As the Lead Driver Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the daily operations of our transportation department. Your strong leadership skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will ensure the team meets and exceeds its goals.

You will be responsible for overseeing a team of drivers and ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods. This includes assigning routes, scheduling deliveries, and dispatching drivers to their destinations. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, tracking driver performance, and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.

To excel in this role, you must have excellent communication and organizational skills. You will need to effectively communicate with drivers, clients, and other team members to ensure a smooth flow of operations. Strong problem-solving skills are essential for quickly resolving any issues that may arise during the course of daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch drivers to their assigned routes and destinations.
• Monitor driver performance, including on-time deliveries, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Communicate with drivers to provide them with necessary instructions, updates, and any relevant information.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues, delays, or concerns that arise during deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of driver activities, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, maintenance, and customer service, to ensure effective coordination of operations.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in transportation logistics is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years Proven experience as a dispatcher
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Proficient in using transportation management systems and software.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances.
• Professional and reliable, with a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Must be detail-oriented and have a high level of accuracy.
