Job Title: Plumbing / Piping Apprentice - Commercial Construction

Position Overview: We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Commercial Construction team as a Plumbing/Piping Apprentice for projects in Charlottesville. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn learn and develop your skills in the Plumbing and/or Piping trade while providing high-quality installs to our commercial clients. As an apprentice, you will work under the guidance and supervision of experienced mechanics and leaders, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in commercial Plumbing and Piping systems and the installation process involved with new construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced Plumbing or Piping Mechanics in installing systems in commercial buildings.
• Learn and follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
• Gather, retrieve, deliver, and organize material in specific job site areas.
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to use hands to control tools
• Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
• Ability to work in cramped and awkward spaces at times
• Great personality, positive attitude, sense of humor, and a tremendous work ethic

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational school or prior training preferred.
• Basic understanding of trade principles and concepts.
• Strong interest in the trade and a desire to learn and develop new skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and following established protocols.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check will be performed.
